BMW Motorrad Drops New Teaser For TVS Apache RR 310-Based Full-Faired Motorcycle

- The upcoming BMW G 310 RR will share underpinnings with the Apache RR 310
- The same engine-chassis combination is seen on the BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS
- The BMW G 310 RR will be revealed on July 15 this year
BMW Motorrad India has released a new teaser on social media for its upcoming entry-level full-faired motorcycle. Set to be the next 'RR' motorcycle from the company, the upcoming offering will be based on the TVS Apache RR 310 and the newest teaser further hints that it is likely to be a badge-engineered offering. The teaser shows the lower profile of the motorcycle that includes the alloy wheel design, new graphics and a revised engine casing. Notably, the wheels and engine case are the same as the Apache RR 310, barring the TVS branding on the latter. An older teaser confirmed the Devil's horn themed taillights on the BMW bike.

The front though remains hidden for now but we will have to see if BMW will rework the design or only swap badges on the motorcycle. Dubbed the 'BMW G 310 RR' by the internet, the upcoming bike is expected to carry the same chassis and engine as the Apache RR 310. Do note, the BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS also share the same engine-chassis combination, and are also built at the TVS plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, for the world.

Power is expected to come from the same 312 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine tuned for 34 bhp and 27.3 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It will be interesting to see what spec does BMW opt for on its iteration of the motorcycle. It will also be interesting to see if BMW offers customisation options like TVS under its BTO program. Given the brand value, BMW is expected to command a premium on the G 310 RR over the TVS Apache RR 310. The bike will compete with the new-generation KTM RC 390 that went on sale recently. The new BMW G 310 RR will be revealed on July 15, 2022, and more details will be disclosed then.
