The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy has been cancelled for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic. But that did not stop BMW France to pay homage to all the victories that BMW bikes that have been victorious at perhaps the most famous road-racing event in the world. BMW France took the wraps off the BMW S 1000 RR Isle Of Man edition. Only 50 units will be manufactured and all of them will be for sale in France. Each unit is priced at 33,005 Euros or Rs. 29.14 lakh.

The most noticeable update on the limited edition sportbike is the gorgeous 'M Isle of Man' shade of green, which has been borrowed from the BMW M3 sedan. The windscreen and the glass on the LED headlights have a yellow tint and the M forged wheels are coloured in Copper, similar to the crankcase. The fuel tank also houses a special inscription which reads 'S 1000 RR Isle of Man Edition', along with the unit number engraved, making it a really exclusive affair. Other interesting bits on the motorcycle include an M-line Titanium Akrapovic exhaust, GPS LapTrigger, M Endurance chain, M swingarm and an M lightweight battery. Plus there a few carbon fibre elements on offer as well, in order to reduce further weight. The S 1000 RR also gets Pro riding modes as standard.

The 999 cc in-line four engine stays the same, pumping out 204 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm along with a 6-speed gearbox. It gets Shiftcam technology which varies the valve timings and stroke on the intake side to offer better performance in the bottom end and the mid-range. So yes, the limited edition BMW S 1000 RR Isle of Man is definitely a must have for all sportbike enthusiasts, with deep pockets of course.
