Citroën C5 Aircross Bookings Begin In India; Launch Soon

Citroën India has commenced accepting bookings for the C5 Aircross SUV in the country. The French automaker announced that order books are open for a token amount of Rs. 50,000 on the brand's official website as well as at its La Maison dealerships pan India. Early-bird customers booking the Citroën C5 Aircross will receive a complimentary maintenance package of five years of 50,000 km. The offer though will be applicable for bookings made up to April 6, 2021, and for deliveries up to June 30, 2021. The SUV is offered in two variants - Feel and Shine.

Citroën is yet to confirm the launch date for the C5 Aircross and prices continue to remain under wraps. That said, the SUV will be competing in the Rs. 25-30 lakh segment against the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, MG Hector, and the Jeep Compass. The Citroën brand is known for making comfortable cars and that will be the selling point of the C5 Aircross. The model comes with the automaker's advanced comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions that makes for extremely pliant ride quality.

Power on the Citroën C5 Aircross comes from the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 175 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired only with the 8-speed automatic transmission. The model has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl.

On the feature front, the Citroën C5 is big on safety and is also decently loaded with goodies. However, it does miss out on connected car technology that some of its rivals have to offer. The 2021 C5 Aircross will be offered in four monotone colours including Perla Nera Black, Tijuca Blue, Pearl White, and Cumulus Grey. There are three dual-tone shades as well namely Tijuca Blue with Pearla Nera Black, Pearl White with Pearla Nera Black, and Cumulus Grey with Pearla Nera Black.
