GST Effect: Honda Prices Reduced On Brio, Amaze, Jazz, City, WR-V

- Prices for the Honda City have reduced by Rs. 16,510 to Rs. 28,005
- The CR-V gets the biggest price cut between Rs. 1.10 lakh & Rs. 1.31 lakh
- The post GST price reduction is higher in markets like Mumbai
Honda Cars India has announced its post-GST prices across the complete range passing on the benefits to customers. The GST effect has been such that Honda models have seen a price reduction ranging between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 1.31 lakh depending on the model. The price reduction is even higher in markets like Mumbai, where the state applied Octroi is no more applicable on the vehicle. This means that cars like the City, BR-V and CR-V have seen an even higher reduction in the overall pricing. The new prices are applicable with immediate effect.
Starting with the automaker's most affordable model, the Honda Brio gets a price cut between Rs. 7980 to Rs. 12,279. The hatchback now starts at Rs. 4.66 lakh for the base trim, going up to Rs. 6.75 lakh for the range topping variant. Similarly, the Honda Jazz has seen a price reduction from Rs. 6168 to Rs. 10,031 and now starts at Rs. 5.89 lakh, going up to Rs. 9.19 lakh.
The Honda Amaze subcomppact sedan gets a price cut between Rs. 9203 and Rs. 14,825, with the petrol range starting at Rs. 5.50 lakh and diesel range at Rs. 8.40 lakh. The Japanese carmaker's most popular model, the Honda City is now cheaper between Rs. 16,510 and Rs. 28,005, and is now priced between Rs. 8.46 lakh and Rs. 13.43 lakh.
GST savings on the Honda City are substantial up to Rs. 28,000
Coming to UV range, the Jazz-based crossover - Honda WR-V gets a price cut of Rs. 7132 to Rs. 10,064, and now comes with an asking price between Rs. 7.66 lakh and Rs. 9.91 lakh. The Honda BR-V gets substantial savings under the new GST regime with prices reduced in the range of Rs. 19,787 to Rs. 30,387. The BR-V is now priced from Rs. 8.93 lakh to Rs. 13.04 lakh. The company's flagship SUV - Honda CR-V gets cheaper by Rs. 110,837 on the base trim, going up to Rs. 131,663 on the top variant. The CR-V is now priced between Rs. 21.53 lakh and Rs. 25.47 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
However, Honda India has not announced the prices on the Accord Hybrid sedan. Under the new GST policy, hybrid cars now attract a tax slab of 43 per cent, instead of the previous 30.3 per cent. So, expect to see a substantial increase on the Accord Hybrid's pricing.
