Honda WR-V Range Updated With A New 'V' Variant; Priced At Rs. 9.95 Lakh

- The V variant has been positioned between the S and VX variant.
- The S and VX variant have also received several feature updates.
- The WR-V is offered in both petrol and diesel variants.
Honda Car India has introduced an all-new diesel variant in the WR-V range along with giving feature upgrades to the S and VX variants. The newly introduced V trim has been priced at Rs. 9.95 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be positioned between the S and VX variant. The new variant of the Honda WR-V comes with several exterior updates like headlamp integrated signature LED DRLs, position lamps, front fog lamps, turn indicators on ORVM, gun metal finish R16 multi-spoke alloy wheel, chrome door handles and rear micro antenna.

On the inside, the new variant gets Black & Silver upholstery and comes loaded with features like 7.0-inch advanced touchscreen infotainment with AVN, steering mounted controls for HFT and audio, voice command & cruise control, automatic climate control, one push start-stop button with white and red illumination, Honda smart key system with keyless remote, front centre armrest with storage console and tilt and telescopic power steering (EPS) among others.

The Honda WR-V's 'V' variant comes with several exterior updates.
Speaking on the introduction of latest addition and enhancements in WR-V, Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, "Honda WR-V, the premium Sporty Lifestyle Vehicle introduced in 2017, features the brand's global DNA and has been well accepted by customers. We are extremely delighted to introduce the new V grade and enriched versions of S & VX grade for WR-V. We are confident that the freshness added to WR-V line-up will be appreciated by our customers."

The S variant of both petrol and diesel iterations have been upgraded as well and now get features like gun metal finish R16 multi-spoke alloy wheel, auto AC with touch control panel, fog lamps, speed sensing auto door lock, jack knife retractable key, driver side window one touch up/ down operation with pinch guard, driver and passenger side vanity mirror with Lid, rear parking sensors, front passenger seat belt reminder, high speed alert.
The Honda WR-V is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel variants are powered by the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 99 bhp and 200 Nm. Petrol variants of the WR-V use the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine that puts out 88 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. Standard safety features on the WR-V include dual SRS front airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD), rear parking sensor, front passenger seat belt reminder, high speed alert, pedestrian injury mitigation technology, intelligent pedal (brake over ride system) and multi-angle rear view camera with guidelines.
Out in the marketplace, the Honda WR-V rivals the likes of cross hatchbacks like the Ford Freestyle and Tata Tiago NRG along with some of the premium hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Hyundai i20.
