Reports claim he sub-4 meter SUV, expected to make an appearance in 2017, will be based on the Hyundai Grandi10 platform, which also underpins the Hyundai Xcent. In fact, the same platform will most likely also be used for the South Korean carmaker's upcoming compact MPV that is expected to be launched in India in the second half of 2016.
Though much isn't known about the Hyundai Grandi10-based sub-compact SUV, reports claim it will be a 5-seater that will take on cars like the Ford EcoSport, along with the upcoming Tata Nexon and Mahindra S101 (XUV100). Considering the fact that it is Hyundai, expect the upcoming SUV to sport a competitive price tag too.

Whereas the diesel, borrowed from the current Hyundai Verna's engine line-up, promises 88.7bhp and 220Nm of maximum torque.
