Tata Motors Launches Two New Commercial Vehicles In Indonesia

- Tata has launched ULTRA 1012 light truck and the Xenon XT pick-up
- Both the vehicles were launched at Indonesia Auto Show 2016
- Tata Motors operates through 119 touch points in Indonesia
In the official statement released by the company, Tata Motors says that the vehicles have been built keeping the Indonesian customers in mind. Both the Tata ULTRA 1012 light truck and the Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4 pick-up have gone through over 25,000 Km of rigorous trials and test runs under various operating conditions and over different terrains. The company even added that the new commercial vehicles will be backed by PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia's strong customer care programme that offers some after-sales features like - best-in-class warranty, guaranteed parts supply and 24x7 on-road assistance, along with Tata Motors operates 119 touch points across Java, Sumatra, Bali and Sulawesi.
Coming to the vehicles itself, the Tata ULTRA 1012 light truck is offered in different variants that are suited for certain applications and designed to meet technical specifications required. The load capacity of the truck is 7 tonne with deck length options of 4 metre and 6 metre. The truck is powered by Tata's 497 TCIC 3,783 cc engine that can produce 124bhp at 2400rpm and develop a peak torque of 400Nm at 1300-1500 rpm, while mated to a G-550 transmission with six gears with overdrive (OD).
The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4 pick-up, on the other hand, is a multi-purpose double-cabin pickup with an adjustable capacity to make it suitable for any type of business. The loading deck is made of double corrugated galvanised steel with 1,000 kg carrying capacity and dimension of 1,430 x 1,410 x 400 mm. The ground clearance is 210 mm. It is powered by a 2.2L VTT DICOR common rail diesel engine that churns out a maximum of 146bhp at 4,000rpm and peak torque of 320Nm at 1700- 2700rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 4WD feature comes with a shift on fly 4x4 system to give the vehicle the capacity to go off-road.
