Kawasaki Teases New Supercharged Motorcycle

- Kawasaki has released a teaser video of a new model
- The new motorcycle will be unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan
- The new sport touring motorcycle will have a supercharged engine
Kawasaki looks all set to extend its range of supercharged motorcycles, with an all-new model, which will be unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on November 7. So far, there are no details on what the new motorcycle will be, but from all indications, it seems that Kawasaki will be introducing a new sport touring model with a supercharged engine. The new model will be the third supercharged motorcycle in Kawasaki's model line-up joining the Kawasaki H2 and the Kawasaki H2R. While the H2 and H2R are track-focussed superbikes, the new model will be more touring oriented.
In Kawasaki's own words, the new model is supposed to be a sport touring model, and "while none of the exhilarating forced induction performance feeling is missing, this unique power feeling is now joined by superior fuel economy and an overall riding feeling directed towards the sport touring market."
There have been rumours doing the rounds of late that Kawasaki will introduce a touring motorcycle, to be called the Kawasaki H2 GT. While it's still uncertain if the new model will indeed be called that, what is confirmed is that it will certainly be a sport tourer, rather than an out and out track-oriented performance superbike. It still remains to be seen if the new model will be based on the H2 platform or will have an all-new chassis design with more comfortable ergonomics suited for long hours in the saddle. Come November 7, all will be revealed, and looks like Kawasaki has quite a few surprises in store for EICMA, including the retro-styled Kawasaki Z900RS.
