Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 1.26 Crore

Jaguar Land Rover has opened bookings for the new Discovery Metropolitan Edition with prices starting at Rs. 1.26 crore (ex-showroom). The new Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition sits on top of the range and brings a host of exterior and interior updates. Based on the R-Dynamic HSE spec, the model gets new Bright Atlas detailing on the grille and Discovery badge. It also gets Hakuba Silver lower bumper inserts, 20-inch satin-finished dark grey alloy wheels with black Land Rover brake callipers, a sliding front sunroof and a fixed rear panoramic roof.

The Metropolitan edition ups the value proposition for our customers with many upgrades enhanced new-age features & options as standard inclusions."

On the feature front, the Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition comes with a 12.3-inch driver display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, front cooler compartment, four-zone climate control and a heated steering wheel as part of the standard kit. There are also heated and cooled rear seats, a powered seat recliner and intelligent seat fold technology. The cabin is finished in special Titanium Mesh trim detailing. The Metropolitan edition also features Land Rover's advanced Cabin Air Purification with the PM2.5 air filtration that monitors air quality inside.

Power comes from the 3.0-litre D300 Ingenium diesel engine that develops 296 bhp and 650 Nm of peak torque, while there's also the P360 3.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine with 355 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The latter also comes with mild hybrid technology for improved acceleration and efficiency. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and get All-Wheel Drive.
