- The Lexus LC 500 comes in an exclusive iridescent structural blue colour
- The 2018 Lexus LC 500 is powered by a 467 bhp 5-litre V8 engine
The new Lexus LC 500 is all set to make a special cameo appearance in Marvel's upcoming superhero movie - Black Panther. Black Panther a.k.a. T'Challa the king of the fictional country of Wakanda in the Marvel universe will be seen driving the rear-wheel-drive sports car in his upcoming movie and Lexus has recently released an all-new clip of this cameo appearance. The 30 seconds clip released by the carmaker shows our hero Black Panther do a backflip onto the Lexus LC 500, while co-star Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, T'Challa's 16-year-old sister, is seen behind the wheel handling all the 471 horses released by the car.

In the video, we also get to see a bunch of swanky features and some cool tricks, both actual and computer generated, which the car can do. Painted in an exclusive iridescent structural blue colour, the car comes with Lexus' signature grille with chrome detailing, all-LED headlamps with sharp-looking LED daytime running lamps and 21-inch forged alloy wheels that stand out. The car is also seen with a couple of fictional features created for the movie like a camouflage mode that makes the car completely invisible and complete auto-pilot mode. The video also shows the car being driven through busy market streets, across a bridge and even making a sharp left turn on two wheels, of course being assisted by Black Panther himself.
Lexus LC 500 in Black Panther movie is powered by a 5-litre V8 engine
As for the car itself, the 2018 Lexus LC 500 is powered by a 5-litre V8 engine delivering 467 bhp (471 HP) and develops 527 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox with paddle-shifters that enables the car to go from doing 0-98 kmph in 4.4 seconds.
This is not the first time that a high-end car has made a special appearance in the superhero movie. Earlier, we have seen the Lamborghini Aventador in The Dark Knight Rises and the Huracan in Doctor Strange, the Audi A8 in the Spiderman Homecoming, and much recently the Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo in the Justice League. Marvel Studios' Black Panther will release on February 16, 2018, and we sure are desperately waiting to watch the Lexus LC 500, in action, on the big screen.
