New Generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launch Highlights

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio went on sale in India and the and the model finally arrives with a complete design overhaul. It gets a curvier profile and the look is now sportier and more upmarket than its predecessor. It will also be well-loaded on the feature front packing in all the essentials, which will further add to its appeal as an all-rounder. Dealerships are already accepting pre-bookings for the new-generation Celerio for a token of Rs. 11,000. Deliveries, on the other hand, will begin soon after the launch.

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be available in four variants - LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. The top three variants will get the option of an AMT along with a manual gearbox. Both units will come paired with the 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine, while the hatchback is now based on the Heartect platform that already underpins a host of offerings in Maruti Suzuki's stable. The new model promises to be India's most fuel-efficient petrol car on sale and will reportedly return 26.68 kmpl.

On the feature front, the new-generation Celerio will come with a push-button start-stop, height-adjustable driver's seat, steering mounted control, electrically foldable ORVMs, black-finished 15-inch alloy wheels, and more. It will also get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and more as part of the standard kit. The new Celerio will be competing against the Datsun GO, Hyundai Santro, and the Renault Kwid 1.0 in the segment.
