New York Auto Show 2022: 2023 Hyundai Palisade Facelift Unveiled

Hyundai has pulled the wraps off the Palisade facelift at the ongoing New York Auto Show 2022. The updated Hyundai Palisade is the 2023 model year SUV, and it comes with a refreshed design, new styling and a host of new and revised features. This is the first mid-cycle facelift for the Palisade which first entered the US market in 2019. Hyundai says that the Palisade has seen huge demand in the US and sold over 80,000 units both in 2020 and 2021.

Visually, the Hyundai Palisade now comes with a bolder face, featuring a new, larger parametric grille with heavy chrome details. The SUV gets a redesigned lighting setup with large LED daytime running lights and vertically positioned LED headlamps. The SUV also comes with new 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a pair of revised LED taillights as well. Overall, the SUV gets a more upmarket and premium look.

The same strategy has been used on the inside as well. The Palisade now comes with a refreshed cabin featuring Nappa leather interior, new seats that are claimed to be ergonomically superior, and a revised dashboard as well. Updates include a new steering wheel, slimmer, horizontal air vents, USB-C charging ports for all three rows, massage function for the driver, wing-out headrests in the second row and heated seats in the third row. The Palisade also gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen now comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Hyundai's Bluelink connected car technology.

In terms of tech, the Palisade also gets the latest version of Hyundai Digital Key, which allows you to use an iPhone, Apple Watch, or Samsung Galaxy to lock, unlock, and start your car instead of a key. While the safety features include a host of driver-assistance systems like - forward collision avoidance assist, navigation-based smart cruise control, highway driving assist, and remote smart parking assist. The Palisade continues to come with the 3.8-litre V6, dual CVVT direct-injected engine which delivers 291 horsepower while there's 394 Nm of torque on offer.
