TVS Apache RTR 160, RTR 180 Get New Syrah Matte Red Colour

- The TVS Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 get no mechanical upgrades
- RTR 160 gets racing stripes on the fuel tank and RTR 180 gets new decals
- The matte red shade is already available on the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Adding some panache to its Apache range this festive season, TVS Motor Company has introduced the new Syrah Matte Red Series on the Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 motorcycles. The matte red shade is already available on the flagship TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and has now been extended to the smaller offerings in the Apache line-up. The new matte red series is one of the many special editions that TVS has introduced for the festive season. The TVS Star City+ and Victor received special editions earlier this month, along with the TVS Jupiter Classic edition.

Save for the new colour scheme, the TVS Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 do not get any aesthetic updates. TVS says the paint scheme has been developed using a twin component thermosetting acrylic paint system with a special pigment to create a 'matte clear' finish. The RTR 160 gets racing stripes on the fuel tank, while the TVS Apache RTR 180 gets new decals. The new colour scheme is offered on the RTR 180 ABS version as well.

The TVS Apache range is one of the most popular in the 150-200 cc segment with over 2.5 million customers. The RTR 160 uses 159.7 cc single-cylinder engine that makes 15.2 bhp of power and 13.1 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The Apache RTR 180, on the other hand, uses a bored out motor from the 160 expanded to 177.4 cc single-cylinder motor that churns out 17 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque.
