TVS To Launch New Two-Wheeler On July 6, Is This The Zeppelin?

- TVS has shared a block your date invite for the launch of a new bike
- The upcoming TVS offering could be the Zeppelin cruiser
- TVS could also bring its own version of the BMW G 310 R or G 310 GS
TVS Motor Company has shared a block your date invite with the media, for a launch scheduled on July 6, 2022. Without revealing much about the upcoming two-wheeler, the company has said that the new offering promises "A new way of life." TVS has been on a launching spree bringing updated iterations of the NTorq 125 and the iQube to the market. But the invite seems to be for an all-new offering, possibly a new premium motorcycle. The upcoming launch could be that of the much-awaited Zeppelin cruiser, while there are a few other possibilities too.

The TVS Zeppelin cruiser concept was powered by a 220 cc engine with a 1,200-watt regenerative assist motor
We do think TVS is looking to bring a new lifestyle product rather than a commuter offering. This does hint toward the TVS Zeppelin cruiser that was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bike generated a lot of interest at the expo but the manufacturer remained largely mum about the project since. However, the company seems to be ready to enter the cruiser segment, especially with the Bajaj Avenger 220 being the only competitor in the entry-level space.
Interestingly, the TVS Zeppelin concept was powered by a 220 cc engine and also got a 1,200-watt regenerative assist motor with a 48-volt li-ion battery, bringing 20 per cent more torque when needed. It's unclear if this technology will make it to the production model but it will certainly help TVS to set its cruiser apart from its rivals. It promises a premium positioning and price in the segment.

The upcoming offering could also be a re-badged version of the BMW G 310 or the G 310 GS
Apart from the Zeppelin, there is a possibility of TVS bringing its own iteration of the BMW G 310 R or G 310 GS. The 310 cc range has been co-developed by BMW and TVS. With BMW Motorrad also set to get its own iteration of the Apache RR 310 in the form of the G 310 RR, there is a chance that TVS could be getting a G 310 R or G 310 GS with its own badging. If the BMW G 310 RR teasers are anything to go by, the upcoming bike could remain nearly identical with only a handful of changes here and there. Being a TVS product, we could see a more accessible price tag too. That said, all of this remains conjecture at this point and we will have to wait and see what TVS launches on July 6. Keep watching this space for all the action.
