2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Review: In Pictures

- The Pulsar NS200 is still a very entertaining motorcycle
- USD forks make front end feel better and handling more precise
- Updated brakes and dual-channel ABS offer better stopping power
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is a legendary motorcycle in the Bajaj Pulsar family, which has managed to carve out cult following. Ten years after its launch in late 2012m the NS200 has now been given its first significant update in 2023. It now gets upside down front forks, standard dual-channel ABS with Grimeca calipers, new wheels and a few feature updates.

According to Bajaj, the updates are more in line with demand from overseas markets, particularly in Latin America, where the NS200 still commands a lot of demand in the Pulsar range. Has the updated Pulsar NS200 gotten any better, and is it still relevant in 2023? Here’s a look at the review in pictures.
The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 gets upside down front forks, standard dual-channel ABS and lighter wheels shared with the Pulsar 250s.
Suspension & Handling
The new USD forks have certainly made front-end feel and performance sharper and tauter.
Engine & Performance
Overall refinement levels seem to have improved, even though some buzz is felt at higher revs, on the footpegs and on the handlebar.
The vibes aren't alarming though, and the six-speed gearbox offers precise shifts, and is slick and refined. Overall performance of the NS200 is still very entertaining.
The updated Pulsar NS200 offers a good combination of sporty handling and comfortable ride quality.
Ride & Braking
The suspension is firm, and the overall dynamics are precise, but the ride quality isn’t affected.
The updated NS200 still sails over broken patches and potholes without being unsettled or offering any discomfort to the rider.
The overall silhouette and design hasn't changed much since 2012, although the Pulsar NS200 has got new decals and graphics over the years, and white-coloured wheels in the last update.
Design & Features
The overall design still remains the same, and considering it’s an updated model, the absence of LED lighting is a letdown.
The instrument console has been updated though, and now gets practical features like a gear position indicator, distance to empty reading and instantaneous fuel consumption.
The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 may not get heads turning on the street, but it's still a good bike, with a rev-happy engine, superb dynamics and very good mechanicals.
Verdict
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 still offers a very good motorcycle, with a free-revving engine, dynamics which has made it more sure-footed and improved brakes.
Despite its age, the Pulsar NS200 still manages to look contemporary (despite the lack of LED lighting), and it still offers a great bike, with good performance, superb dynamics and sorted mechanicals.
