2022 Mahindra XUV700 To Get The Largest Sunroof In The Segment

- The Mahindra XUV700's panoramic sunroof measures 1360 mm x 870 mm
- The MG Hector, Tata Safari & Jeep Compass already offer panoramic sunroof
- The Mahindra XUV700 will go on sale around September this year
The Mahindra XUV700 will go on sale in a few weeks from now and the automaker has begun teasing the features on the upcoming flagship SUV. After revealing the auto booster headlamps feature last week, Mahindra has now teased the 'Skyroof' on the XUV700. The skyroof, we reckon, is Mahindra-speak for a panoramic sunroof that will be offered on the SUV. In fact, Mahindra claims that the skyroof will be the segment's largest measuring 1360 mm in length and 870 mm in width.

At present, the MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier and the Safari, as well as the MG ZS EV, all come with a panoramic sunroof on the higher variants. The Mahindra XUV700 will join that list soon.
Previous spy shots had already given us a hint of the panoramic sunroof feature on the Mahindra XUV700. The offering will be loaded on tech and promises to get several segment-firsts. Spy shots have also revealed the Mercedes-like dual-screen set-up in the cabin, Level 1 autonomous driving (ADAS), all-LED lighting, flush-fitting door handles, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and more.
With respect to the powertrain, the Mahindra XUV700 will come with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel mStallion engines. Both engines will be paired with manual and automatic transmission options. Mahindra could also bring a 4WD variant on the SUV at the time of launch. Prices are likely to start from over Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards for the new XUV700.
