2022 MG ZS EV: Price Expectation

- The MG ZS EV facelift will be launched in India on Feb 7
- The updated ZS EV gets several cosmetic changes and new features
- The styling of the ZS EV is now more in line with a conventional EV
The 2022 MG ZS EV is all set to be launched later today. While the all-electric crossover-SUV was first introduced in the country in January 2020, the EV is now due for a proper mid-life facelift. The new ZS EV will borrow some elements from the MG Astor, its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart, which was launched a few months ago, and will also get MG's new iSmart UI with 75+ features, Hindi-English voice commands, and a 10.1 inch touchscreen.

The interior of the new MG ZS EV has also received a makeover, and now offers better creature comforts
The new 2022 MG ZS EV was also showcased recently through a few images. While much else wasn't revealed about what is to change in the upcoming update, the images revealed redesigned LED headlamps, new LED daytime running lamps and new 17-inch alloy wheels. While the rear end of the car wasn't revealed, MG has revealed that the car will get new LED taillamps and a redesigned rear bumper

The outgoing MG ZS EV was priced between Rs. 20.99 lakh to Rs. 24.18 lakh (Ex- showroom, Delhi), and was on offer with 2 variants. MG Motor India hasn't revealed the pricing of its crossover-SUV yet, but we think that the starting price may be a little lower than the outgoing models, thanks to the car being fully made in India.

We may also see an extended range version of the car featuring a larger battery, and if offered, the longer range variants will be priced higher than the others. We expect the car to go on sale starting at Rs. 20 lakh, while the more premium and long-range variants may go up to about Rs. 25 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
