Auto Expo 2016: BMW-TVS Might Launch its Highly Anticipated G 310 R

BMW G 310 R, the German bikemaker's smallest capacity motorcycle, may be launched at the Delhi Auto Expo in February. Designed and engineered in Munich, the 300cc motorcycle will be built at TVS Motor Company's facility in Bengaluru - thus making it the first BMW Motorrad bike to be manufactured outside of Europe.
A source recently hinted at the very high probability of the motorcycle being launched at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016. The BMW G 310 R will come powered by a 313cc engine that will produce 34bhp along with 28Nm of maximum torque. Trust the bike to be highly-reliable and fun, and also come loaded with world-class features, thanks its German origins. The BMW-TVS merger will also try to benefit from the big production capacities of an Indian manufacturer and the technological expertise of a European two-wheeler manufacturer, much like the KTM-Bajaj collaboration, so expect the BMW G 310 R to sport a price tag of under Rs. 2 lakh.
The list of BMW G 310 R's standard features will comprise a solid upside-down fork at the front, an aluminium swing arm in conjunction with a monoshock which is mounted on it directly, ABS, and a high-performance braking system. As far as its rivals are concerned, the upcoming BMW bike will be seen giving stiff competition to the KTM Duke 390.
There is a little doubt that the BMW G 310 R will provide brilliant value for money if it is launched the way it is. With that being said, BMW is still expected to employ a few cost cutting measures before launching the bike in India. Well, whatever happens eventually, we are sure that it will be worth the wait.
