The mid-capacity adventure tourer has generated significant interest since it was first showcased as a concept at last year’s EICMA show and later displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in India.

The teaser focuses on the motorcycle’s fuel tank, featuring a large GS graphic with the F 450 badging integrated into it. The bike shown is finished in black with contrasting white graphics. The handlebar, which is finished in gold, appears to be quite similar to the concept motorcycle.

Patent images shared earlier suggest that the production model retains several design cues from the concept, including the sculpted fuel tank, sharp side fairings, and the angular front end with an extended beak design. The headlamp setup appears similar to that of the R 1300 GS, incorporating daytime running lights in an ‘X’ pattern, while the rear section features a slim tail lamp.
Powering the motorcycle is a newly developed 450 cc parallel-twin engine producing around 47 bhp, tuned for strong low-end torque. With a kerb weight of 175 kg, the F 450 GS is expected to utilise lightweight materials for its hardware.

BMW previously announced that it will begin mass production of the F 450 GS by late 2025, with an India launch expected to take place sometime in 2026. As for prices, we expect it to hover around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
