The Honda Gold Wing is due for an update, and we had even reported the likely changes the 2018 Gold Wing is expected to get, including a new powertrain, and even Honda's automatic dual clutch transmission (DCT). The new Gold Wing is also expected to get a lot of electronic rider aids including traction control, different engine modes, cornering ABS and semi-active suspension. There's still a question on the new powerplant for the updated Gold Wing, if it will continue to use the straight six engine or maybe even introduce a four-cylinder hybrid model which is Euro 5 ready.
But all that's still speculation and there are a couple of more models which could finally make its debut on the big day. Honda is also working on the Neowing hybrid three-wheeler which is also expected to be unveiled sometime, and Honda's electric scooter program is very much active with the electric Honda Super Cub also expected in the near future. What is clear is that Honda is teasing the upcoming motorcycle model with a complete lifestyle focus and so far, only the Gold Wing makes the cut as the closest possible model to make its debut as the 2018 model. Of course, all will be revealed on October 24, and we will be looking to see what Honda does finally reveal.
