Hyundai Motor India Achieves 10 Million Production Milestone

- The Hyundai Alcazar is the 10 Millionth car to roll out of the plant.

- Hyundai has clocked one million sales in just two years.
Hyundai Motor India has rolled out 10 million cars from its manufacturing facility in India near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Hyundai Alcazar is the 10 millionth car to roll out of the production line at HMIL's plant in presence of M K Stalin - Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who also signed on the car's hood to mark the occasion. The bigger news is that the Korean carmaker took just about two years to sell one million units, while it clocked the same sales in over 7.5 years in India after starting its journey in our market. Hyundai had completed nine million sales in 2019.

Hyundai is offering 13 trims in all for the Alcazar and prices start at Rs. 16.3 lakh, going up to Rs. 20.14 lakh
The Hyundai Alcazar is also the Korean carmaker's latest launch in our market. It is a three-row version of the Hyundai Creta and can accommodate six or seven passengers depending on the variant. It also gets a 150 mm longer wheelbase . In terms looks, the Alcazar will come with a new cascading grille, along with restyled LED headlamps and an updated bumper and new fog lamps. Obviously, the profile is different as well since it's longer and it gets a new design for the rear-three-quarter section and sees addition of a quarter glass. It's well-equipped with creature comforts as well. Under the hood, the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit churning out 157 bhp and 191 Nm of torque. The diesel mill on the other hand is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder oil-burner that belts out 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque.
