Indian Women's Cricket Team Captain Mithali Raj Gets A Brand New BMW 320d

- V. Chamundeswaranath will sponsor the new BMW 320d sedan

Post the Indian Women's Cricket Team's impressive performance at the 2017 World Cup in England, captain Mithali Raj was recently gifted a brand new BMW sedan. The Hyderabad based Indian Skipper is set received this special gift from V. Chamundeswaranath, the former junior national selection committee chairman and now vice-president of Telangana Badminton Association. The Indian women's national cricket team captain Mithali Raj is now the owner of a brand new BMW 320d (3 Series), which was presented to her at a special felicitation ceremony held on August 1, 2017.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that V. Chamundeswaranath has shown this level of support towards Indian sportspersons. Last year Chamudeswarnath sponsored to give BMW cars to Olympic medal winners PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik and Dipa Karmakar for bringing fame to India at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The cars were presented to them by none other then cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar. That time the cars which were presented to the athletes included the BMW X1 and the BMW 320d.

Talking about the car in question here, the BMW 320d is the most popular 3 Series sold in India and the car is powered by 2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of churning out a maximum of 180 bhp and develop a peak torque of 380 Nm. The BMW X1, on the other hand is BMW's entry-level SUV in India and is powered by a 2-litre diesel engine that produces 190bhp and 400Nm.
