Mahindra KUV100's Sales Cross The 50,000 Mark In India

- The Mahindra KUV100 was launched in January 2016
- The company recently introduced an Anniversary Edition of the car
- The design of the KUV100 is inspired by its elder siblings
The company has till date sold 50,288 units of the KUV100 in India. Offered in four variants - K2, K4, K6 and top-of-the-line K8, Mahindra KUV100's design is inspired by its larger and more premium sibling; the XUV500. The KUV100 gets a monocoque chassis, much like the XUV500, and also sports similar styling elements such as the beefy front fascia that looks quite aggressive thanks to the its large black plastic-clad front bumper and muscular bonnet that is accentuated by sharp character lines. We've told you all about the car already and even in our review we've mentioned how the car drives
Under the hood, the Mahindra KUV100 is powered by an all-new range of petrol and diesel engines, the mFalcon series. The petrol engine, mFalcon G80, Mahindra's first ground-up engine, is a 1.2-litre unit that churns out 82 bhp and develops 114 Nm of peak torque. The new 1.2-litre oil burner, mFalcon D75, is a turbocharged common-rail diesel engine that puts out 77 bhp along with a peak torque of 190 Nm. Both engines comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox but sadly, there's no AMT on offer yet and we hope to see that option soon.
Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "We would like to thank our customers for their support in achieving this milestone for the KUV100. It combines the appeal of an SUV and the practicality of a compact car, making it a compelling value proposition for buyers."
