The TUV3OO will not replace the Bolero but Dr. Pawan Goenka did not comment when asked if it would in fact replace the company's current sub-4 metre SUV Quanto. The Mahindra TUV300 will be an all new car that will boast of small overhangs, a flat roof, high ground clearance and many other features that bring out the true blue SUV side of the car. When asked however, if the car would be available in the 4WD avtaar, Pravin Shah commented, that the platform is capable to conjure a 4WD vehicle but the TUV300 will not come with four wheel drive.

The car will be powered by an engine based on the mHawk architecture. Called the mHawk80 the engine has been designed at the company's Chennai facility. Mahindra said that the TUV300 will be a global product and they will soon start to look at countries where the car will be exported.
The car will be launched in September this year at the company's Chakan facility in Pune.
