MG Motor India Donates 8 More Hector Ambulances For Nagpur And Vidarbha

Under its SEWA program, MG Motor India has delivered eight more retrofitted Hector Ambulances for Nagpur and Vidarbha to support healthcare services. Equipped with modern life-saving systems, The Hector Ambulances are custom-built by the carmaker at its Halol plant in Gujarat by its engineering team. MG India had earlier agreed to deploy 100 Hector ambulances in Nagpur and Vidarbha for COVID-19 patients at the request of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and immediately handed over 8 Hector Ambulances to the local authorities. These eight units are in addition to that, and they were handed over in the presence of MoRTH Minister.

These MG Hector Ambulances comes fitted with modern life-saving systems
Speaking on the occasion, Yash Yadav, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, MG Motor India, said, "We are proud to deliver Hector ambulances for healthcare services under the MG Sewa program. We had started providing some ambulances at the start of Covid-19 pandemic last year but took up the challenge of hastening up deliveries of these ambulances after Shri Gadkari's special request to help the Nagpur and Vidarbha regions. We thank Shri Gadkari ji for this opportunity."
The Hector Ambulances are custom-built by the carmaker at its Halol plant in Gujarat by its engineering team. They are equipped with modern life-saving equipment such as an auto-loading stretcher, oxygen system with cylinder, jump seat for an attendant, fire extinguisher, medicine cabinet with 5 parameter monitor, an inverter with battery additional sockets, a siren, a lightbar, and medical equipment.

In March 2020, MG Motor India donated five units of retrofitted Hector Ambulance to Nagpur's Nangia Specialty Hospital.
The carmaker has previously donated Hector Ambulances to Nangia Hospital in Nagpur, GMERS Hospital in Vadodara and CHC Hospital in Halol, Gujarat. The ambulances were earlier offered exclusively to COVID-19 patients living in Nagpur. However, the vehicles will now also be used for other emergencies.
Under its community service umbrella MG Sewa, the carmaker is undertaking various initiatives especially during the second wave of COVID-19, including MG Healthline for its customers for providing medical assistance. In April 2021, the company partnered with Devnandan Gases in Gujarat to ramp up the oxygen production by 36 per cent at one of the latter's plants in Vadodara within a month. MG recently offered 200 beds for Covid-19 patients in Gurugram along with online platform Credihealth and raised funds and distributed biodegradable bedsheets to people affected by COVID-19 in Pune.
