The company claims a 0-100 kmph sprint time under 9 seconds. The new offering is about 100 kg heavier with about 70 kg of the weight coming from the bigger battery alone.
Tata has also improved the charging time on the Nexon EV Max that will be available with options of a 3.3 kW charger or a 7.2 kW AC fast charger. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger can be installed either at home or at work. This helps reduce the charging time to 6.5 hours. The Nexon EV MAX also supports a faster charging time of 0-80 per cent in just 56 mins from any 50 kW DC fast charger.
