Commenting on the launch, Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing), Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand said, "TVS NTorq 125 has redefined the expectation from a scooter in India - it ushered in the age of the exciting, powerful, connected scooter for the always-connected Gen Z. Mindful of this, we are happy to introduce the TVS Norq 125 Race XP. It comes armed with the highest power in the segment, first-in-segment dual ride modes, delivering higher top speed and superior acceleration.

(The scooter gets a revised colour scheme as well, which looks even sportier. The wheels are painted red too)
This is made possible through our continuous advancements in engineering and pursuit of consumer delight, like engine breathing and combustion optimisation and usage of advanced engineering polymers, high strength steel and other alloys leveraging continuous computer-aided design simulation. The TVS SMARTXONNECT connectivity platform gets industry-first Voice Assist - now your NTORQ responds to your command(s). A new look with red alloys complements the offering. Crafted for those in the "always-on" GenZ, who love to rev it up, the array of best-in-class connectivity and vehicle features coupled with segment-first 10.2 PS power will excite the Gen Z."

TVS says that it has made significant improvements to the engine by updating the gas flow dynamics and combustion processes. The scooter continues to get the same 124.8 cc single-cylinder engine as before, but the Race XP model makes 10.06 bhp at 7,000 rpm as compared to 9.25 bhp made at 7,000 rpm on the regular model. That is a slight bump of 0.81 bhp. The peak torque too gets a small increment, from 10.5 Nm coming in at 5,500 rpm to 10.5 Nm coming in at the same rpm. The NTorq 125 Race XP is now the only ICE scooter in India to get voice command functionality along with having a peak power output of more than 10 bhp. The Race XP variant is also 2 kg lighter than the base model of the NTorq, at 116 kg.
