Two-Wheeler Sales May 2018: TVS Registers 24 Per Cent Growth

TVS Motor Company has recorded a sales growth of 24 per cent in its overall business, selling 304,795 units in April 2018. In April 2017, TVS sold a total of 246,310 units. TVS sold a total of 293,418 units in April 2018 as compared to 241,007 units in April 2017, recording a growth of 21.7 per cent. Talking about scooter sales, the TVS managed to sell 89,245 units in April 2018. In comparison, it sold 81,443 units in April 2017, posting a growth in sales of 9.6 per cent. TVS also sold 131,704 motorcycles in April 2018 as opposed to 99,890 units in April 2017, registering a growth of 31.8 per cent.
TVS exported 61,798 units in total in April 2018 which is a solid growth of 53.6 per cent from 40,221 units exported in April 2017. Speaking of two-wheeler exports specifically, TVS exported 51,814 units in April 2018 which is a growth of 46 per cent from 35,485 units sold in April 2017.
Lastly, TVS sold 11,377 three-wheeler units in April 2018, which is a massive jump of 114.5 per cent from 5,303 units sold in April 2017. TVS has been going strong and steady for quite a few months as far as sales and exports are concerned.
