Two-Wheeler Sales September 2021: Honda Registers 4.8 Lakh Unit Sales


- Honda's domestic sales grow 12 per cent over sales in August 2021
- HMSI gears up for festive season as market sentiment improves
- Deliveries of Honda CB200X began in September 2021
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced its sales numbers for September 2021, with total sales recorded at 4,82,756 units. In the domestic market, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recorded sales of 4,63,679 units, while exports accounted for 19,077 units. According to HMSI, there's been a boost in market sentiment on the back of new models, with uptick in customer sentiments, and Honda's domestic sales grew 12 per cent over August 2021 sales numbers, which stood at 4,30,683 units (including 4,01,469 units in domestic market, and 29,214 units in export markets).

The Honda Activa is India's highest-selling scooter.
Commenting on the sales for the month, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, "We are gaining back the momentum with each passing month witnessing a rise in customer enquiries. The coming few months will be decisive in determining the growth forecast with the year's most awaited time of festivals just around the corner. Our network across India is all geared up and ready to delight customers with their favourite Honda Two-Wheeler."

In September 2021, HMSI started the deliveries of its all-new Honda CB200X crossover motorcycle. Built for the urban daily commute, as well as weekend tours, the Honda CB200X has been priced at Rs. 1,44,500 (Ex-showroom). Honda also strengthened its customer base in Bihar, becoming the choice of 10 lakh families in the state. Honda has also launched the Honda BigWing Virtual Showroom in September, which will prioritise safety while strengthening digitial engagement with customers.
