Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid: Top 7 Features

- New Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will come with electric power assist

India Yamaha launched the Yamaha FZ-X on June 18, 2021, but also showcased the soon-to-be-launched Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid. The biggest difference in the new Fasino 125 FI Hybrid is the engine with battery power assist, but the scooter has been given a thorough makeover to give it fresh appeal, including a bunch of new features, including smartphone connectivity, and other feature and cosmetic updates. Here's a look at what we know so far on the new Fascino 125 FI Hybrid that have changed, and will make its debut on the updated Fascino 125.

Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid with battery power assist
1. New 125 cc Hybrid Assist Engine
The most significant change on the new Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will be the engine with battery power assist, which will give electric power boost when more power is needed. More details will be revealed at launch, but what we do know is that the engine will make more torque than the current fuel-injected 125 cc engine. The Fascino 125 FI will make the same 8 bhp but peak torque will increase to 10.3 Nm, from the current 9.7 Nm.

The Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will get Bluetooth connectivity with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect app
2. Yamaha Motorcycle Connect App
The new Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will come with the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect app, which will offer smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth, and offer new features, like a scooter locator, answer back and remote hazard light functions, and more.

Side-stand engine cut off system will not allow the rider to start the engine when the side stand is down
3. Side-Stand Engine Cut-Off
The side-stand engine cut-off system is a safety feature, which will cut off the engine if the side-stand is down, or prevent the rider from starting up the scooter when the side-stand is down.

The Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will feature a new silent starter
4. Silent Start System
The Fascino 125 FI will come with what Yamaha calls the Smart Motor Generator system, which offers a silent start motor. The engine starting system will start silently, without any cranking sound from the starter motor.

The Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will also feature an automatic start-stop system
5. Start Stop System
The scooter also features an automatic start stop system which cuts off the engine, while waiting at, say a stop light, and will automatically restart the engine with a slight twist of the throttle.

The Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will feature LED headlight with DRL, as well as LED taillight
6. LED Lighting
The new Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will feature a new LED headlight with DRL, and even the taillight is LED, giving the scooter premium appeal.

The Fascino 125 FI will feature ample underseat storage with an optional USB charger as well
7. Ample Storage
The Fascino 125 FI Hybrid will come with 21 litres of underseat storage, and will also offer an optional USB charger in the boot, to charge your phone while on the go.
