- The Bajaj Platina 110 is the newest entrant in the 110 cc commuter space
- The new Platina 110 comes with a 115 cc single-cylinder engine
- The Bajaj Platina 110 shares its design with its 100 cc sibling
Bajaj Auto has launched a new 110 cc model of the Bajaj Platina in India, priced at Rs. 49,197 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the new Bajaj Platina 110, the Pune-based two-wheeler manufacturer now brings a new rival to the 110 cc commuter segment, to compete with the likes of the Hero Passion Pro 110, Honda CD 110 Dream DX, and TVS Radeon. The new Bajaj Platina 110 also comes with a bunch of first-in-class features like - tubeless tyres as a standard fitment, dual spring-on-spring and Nitrox shock absorbers, and standard anti-skid brakes.
Commenting on the introduction of the new variant, Mr Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Business said "Bajaj Platina has always been synonymous with exceptionally high mileage and superior comfort. The Platina 110 now joins the highly successful existing Platina 100 ES to offer a premium option to 100cc consumers. Freedom from jerks due to rough roads is a necessary requirement for motorcycle customers, the new Platina 110 is the best product for customers who value ride comfort and safety."

Bajaj Platina 110 gets a new 115 cc single-cylinder engine
The new Bajaj Platina 110 is powered by a new 115 cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that is tuned to offer about 8.4 bhp at 7000 rpm and develop a peak torque of 9.81 Nm at 5000 rpm. In fact, the Platine 110 offers the highest amount of torque compared to any other bike in its class. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by 135 mm telescopic front forks, and as already mentioned a 110 mm spring-on-spring with Nitrox shock absorbers at the back. Braking, on the other hand, is handled by a 130 mm drum unit up front and a 110 drum at the back, equipped with a combined braking system (CBS), which delivers an even brake force on both wheels.

Bajaj Platina 110 comes in 3 colour choices and black alloys and tubeless tyres
Visually, the new Bajaj Platine 110 looks pretty much identical to the Platina 100 ES, save for the new graphics and decals. This one too comes with an individual LED daytime running lamp (DRL), positioned above the headlamp, along with black alloy wheels, black grab rail, and black mirrors. The bike has been launched in three colour combinations - Ebony black with grey decals, Ebony black with blue decals and Cocktail wine red.
