Hyundai Reaches 4 Million Sales Mark in India

Hyundai has announced that it has reached the milestone of 4 million cars in the Indian market, 19 years after it first entered the country.
The Korean carmaker has been a consistent performer through the years and is currently flying high in the Indian market with the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Grand i10, Creta, and Verna doing great business.

Commenting on the achievement, YK Koo, Managing Director, HMIL said, "Hyundai today is a 10-product strong brand with class leading products from the Eon to the Santa Fe. Hyundai has, since inception, focussed on 'Make in India' products, made for the world.

The top-selling Hyundai Santro, launched 19 years ago, was the carmaker's first product in India and was also the country's first car with a tall-boy design.

Hyundai, which has its Indian manufacturing plant near Chennai, currently sells 10 models in India. It is the largest passenger car exporter in the country and the second largest carmaker after Maruti Suzuki.
