Jaguar Land Rover Continues to do Well for Tata Motors

Tata Motors has announced its global wholesales for April 2014, which stood at 75,026 units. Jaguar Land Rover has once again been the only brand for Tata Motors to have reported a rise in sales.

    Tata Motors has announced its global wholesales for April 2014, which stood at 75,026 units. Jaguar Land Rover has once again been the only brand for Tata Motors to have reported a rise in sales. Global wholesales for JLR in the month of April 2014 was higher by 39% over April 2013. The company sold 5,704 units of Jaguars in the month, while 34,433 units of Land Rovers were sold globally.

    If we look at the sector-wise sales of the company, global wholesales of all commercial vehicles - Tata, Tata Daewoo stood at 27,054, while all passenger vehicles in April were at 47,972. If we talk only about passengers vehicles sold under Tata brand name, the company managed to sell only 7,835 units.

    Tata Motors that is struggling to get numbers in the passenger vehicle segment will launch several new and facelifted cars this year including the much anticipated Tata Bolt and Zest in the second half of this year.
