Kia India is all set to introduce its first electric vehicle, the Kia EV6 crossover, in the county. The company will reveal the electric crossover on May 20, while pre-bookings will commence from May 26 onwards. Now, we have already driven the Kia EV6 and were the first ones in India to bring you an exclusive review of the car, which you can find on the car&bike website. One of the key highlights of the upcoming electric crossover is its cabin, which comes with a futuristic design, premium interior trim, and a host of smart features.

The Kia EV6 gets a futuristic and clean design, which is dominated by dual high-definition curved audio visual and navigation (AVN) screens, each 12.3 inches in size
Now the Kia EV6 is not the first electric vehicle from the company. The company already sold models like the Soul EV, which are based on existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle platforms. The EV6, however, is the company's first electric vehicle to be built on a dedicated EV architecture - Hyundai Motor Group's Electric Global Modular Platform or E-GMP. This has allowed Kia to offer increased cabin space compared to previous Kia EVs based on existing model architecture, which is helped improve the overall experience.

The dual 12.3 inch curved screens sport some really nice graphics with the right blend of information and connectivity.
The cabin itself gets a futuristic and clean design, which is dominated by dual high-definition curved audio visual and navigation (AVN) screens, each 12.3 inches in size. The graphics are very nicely done, and the displays give you the right blend of information and connectivity. The section behind the steering wheel is the instrument cluster, while the one at the centre is for infotainment and navigation. And below, you get HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) settings with haptic buttons. As for the seats, Kia offers a set of slim, lightweight, and contemporary-style seats that are clad in premium fabrics created using recycled plastics.

The Kia EV6 also comes with a floating-style centre console featuring start/stop button, illuminated rotary selector dial, wireless phone charger and cup holders.

The EV6 also comes with a two-spoke steering wheel, which features a tonne of in-car controls, including paddles to set the desired levels of regeneration and a button to select driving modes. The EV is expected to go on sale in India next month, and will come to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route.
