Mahindra Jeeto Launched at Rs. 2.32 Lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra today launched its new small commercial vehicle, Jeeto from its Zaheerabad plant near Hyderabad.
Powered by the new m_dura diesel engine, the Jeeto will be available in 2 powertrains of 11bhp and 16bhp, also payloads of 600 and 700 kgs and 3 deck lengths of 5.5ft, 6ft and 6.6 ft. Combinations will be available across a range of 8 variants.
Company also claims a mileage ranging from 27.8 Km/l to 37.6 Km/l depending on the variant. Jeeto's starting price is Rs. 2.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Telangana) and ranges till up Rs. 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom,Telangana) and will take on the likes of Tata Ace, Tata Zip and Ape Xtra LD. Mahindra has invested Rs. 250 crore on expanding the Zaheerabad plant and Rs. 50 crore on the product development of Jetto. Depending on the demand the upto 1,50,000 units of Jeeto's can be manufactured annually.
