Mahindra KUV100 Anniversary Edition Revealed

- The KUV100 Anniversary Edition gets a dual-tone paintjob
- It also gets larger 15-inch wheels as standard
- No mechanical changes. It gets a 1.2 petrol and a 1.2 diesel engine
The Mahindra KUV100 was launched last year and has seen decent sales for its unique micro SUV proportions and has appealed to a wider audience than the average Mahindra customer with both its petrol and diesel engines. That said, the KUV100 has recently seen a large dip in sales figures from an average of over 5000 units to just under 2000 units every month. To revive interest in the KUV100 and to celebrate the first year anniversary of its launch, Mahindra has unveiled the anniversary edition of the compact micro SUV. The Mahindra KUV goes up against the likes of the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
The KUV100 now gets a two tone paintjob (made popular by the likes of the Vitara Brezza and now the new Maruti Suzuki Ignis) with a black roof and two different body colour options, i.e. Flamboyant Red and Dazzling Silver. The anniversary edition will also get larger 15-inch wheels as compared to the 14 inchers on the standard car. The KUV100 also gets an all-black interior with a new upholstery option for the seats. The KUV100's 5-seater or 6-seater variable seating will also remain unchanged on the anniversary editions.
The Mahindra KUV100 is powered by both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a 1.2 litre engine that makes 82 bhp of peak power and 115 Nm of peak torque and it mated to a 5-speed gearbox and front wheel drive. The diesel on the other hand is also a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit that makes 77 bhp of peak power and 190 Nm of peak torque. The diesel is also mated to a 5-speed manual and front wheel drive setup. The KUV100 does not get an automatic or AMT gearbox like the TUV300 does. The petrol-powered car has a fuel economy figure of 18.15 kmpl while the diesel offers mileage of 25.32 kmpl. Prices for the KUV100 anniversary edition have not been announced yet and are expected to be revealed soon.
