Maruti Suzuki Super Carry Achieves 1 Lakh Units Sales Milestone In India

- The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry comes in both petrol and CNG option
- The Super Carry is a sub-one-tonne light commercial vehicle
- It comes powered by a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre petrol motor
The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry mini truck has achieved a new sales milestone, crossing the 1 lakh mark in just 5 years. First launched in India in 2016, the Super Carry is a sub-one-tonne light commercial vehicle (LCV) offered in both petrol and CNG option. The mini truck is sold at over 335 Maruti Suzuki Commercial outlets across India. Along with Super Carry, the commercial channel also retails EECO Cargo and Tour Range (Tour H1, Tour S, Tour M and Tour V).

The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry has a payload capacity of 740 kg.
Speaking on the milestone, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "Super Carry has proven that mini-trucks can be powerful, comfortable to drive, easy to maintain and profitable for the owner and that is the reason why customers vouch for its quality. We thank our customers for bestowing their trust in us and making Super Carry, the second best-selling mini truck in the light commercial vehicle space."
The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry was the first LCV in the segment to get a BS6 compliant engine, along with a dual fuel S-CNG variant with a 5-litre petrol tank. The petrol comes with a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre motor that makes 72.4 bhp and 98 Nm of peak torque. The CNG version makes 64.3 bhp and 85 Nm of peak torque. Both come mated to the same 5-speed manual gearbox.
