Nissan India Opens 220th Dealership in Bihar
- The new outlet will showcase both Nissan and Datsun brands
- Nissan increases pan-India network to 220 outlets across 167 cities
- The company plans to have 300 outlets in India by March 2017
In the last six months, Nissan India has inaugurated thirteen dealerships in the country, which in itself is a considerable feat. Nissan India plans to increase its dealership network in Bihar to capture huge potential of the growing economy of the state. In fact the company has claimed that it plans to have 300 sales and service centres across the country by the end of March 2017. This will be a part of Nissan India's network expansion strategy, which involves establishing an extensive, quality-focused retail network for Nissan's long-term growth in the country.
Coming to the new dealership itself, Goberdhan Nissan showroom is located in Aamgola, the heart of Muzaffarpur city, while the workshop is situated in the nearby area of Malighat. While the showroom offers ample space of 4,450 sq.ft., the workshop is a 10,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art facility. Speaking at the inauguration of the new dealership, Satinder Singh Bajwa, vice president sales, network and customer relations, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. said, "The automobile market in the East region of India has increased exponentially over the last few years. Nissan will be expanding aggressively in the eastern states and particularly in Bihar to reach customers there and gain a healthy share of this huge potential market."
Nissan is currently gearing up to launch its subsidiary brand, Datsun's all-new small car Redi-GO, which will compete in the entry-level car segment in India. Bajwa claims that there is significant demand in Bihar for cars in this segment. "To tap that desire for our cars, we will grow our dealership base, offer best-in-class products, build strong business fundamentals, and get closer to our customers in the region," said Bajwa.
