Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Spotted On Test With Accessories

- The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was spotted testing with a top box & pannier
- The RE Himalayan 450 will be powered by a newly-developed 450 cc motor
- Royal Enfield is expected to launch the Himalayan 450 later this year
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to be the next big global product from the Indian manufacturer and the bike will be bringing some major upgrades in the form of an all-new engine and chassis as well. The model has been spotted on test on a number of occasions but the latest image shows a host of accessories mounted on the test motorcycle. The latest RE Himalayan 450 test mule provides a detailed look at the accessories that we can come to expect including an aluminium top box and panniers. Expect these and a lot more to be a part of the catalogue when the bike goes on sale.

The RE Himalayan 450 will get a high-mounted circular instrument cluster that's likely to be an analogue-digital unit
Royal Enfield has been developing accessories alongside the development of its bikes, bringing a wide range of options for customers. With the Himalayan 450, it won't be too different. This is great from a usability standpoint considering you have accessories that fit well and have been subjected to real-world wear and tear. Apart from the top box and panniers, the Himalayan 450 is expected to get touring seats, new mirrors, the Tripper navigation pod, a taller windscreen, decals and more.
With respect to the mechanicals, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to get a new chassis with a revised rear subframe, while some components are likely to be carried over from the Himalayan 411. The newer bits though would include a round LED headlamp with LED DRLs, a first for any Royal Enfield motorcycle. The tail lamp will also be an LED unit while the indicators are likely to continue with standard bulbs.
The top box, panniers and other accessories will be launched alongside the Himalayan 450 as has been the case with new RE motorcycles
The test mule also gets steel-braided brake lines, which would be a big jump in terms of equipment and quality for any RE motorcycle. The flagship Interceptor and Continental GT 650 twins only get steel-braided lines at the moment, while the Himalayan 411 gets rubber brake hoses. Royal Enfield will also opt for a round digital-analogue console similar to the Meteor 350 than go for the one seen on the current Himalayan.
While the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 continues to be spotted testing on several occasions, the launch is still some time away. With confirmation from the company, one can expect the bike to arrive towards the end of this year or in early 2023.
