Tata Nexon Gets New Five-Spoke Diamond-Cut Alloy Wheels

- Tata Motors has silently added new diamond-cut alloy wheels on the Nexon
- New 16-inch alloy wheels are offered on select variants of the Nexon SUV
- The SUV receives no mechanical changes apart from new alloy wheels
Tata Motors has silently introduced new five-spoke alloy wheels on the Nexon subcompact SUV. The older V-shaped spoke wheel design has been replaced with new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The homegrown automaker is offering new alloy wheels on select variants of the Nexon, which includes XZ+, XZ+ (S), XZ+ (O), XZA+, XZA+ (O) and XZA+ (S). We have reached out to the company for an official statement, however, at the time of publishing this story, our email sent to Tata Motors remained unanswered.

The older V-spoke alloy wheel design has been replaced by new 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels
Apart from new alloy wheels, there are no changes made to the Nexon model. The mechanical front remains unchanged. The SUV comes in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol is a 1.2-litre turbocharged mill tuned to produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque, the latter is a 1.5-litre motor good for 108 bhp and 260 Nm of power figures. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.

The new alloy wheel design is offered on select variants of the Nexon subcompact SUV
The carmaker had previously discontinued the Tectonic Blue colour of the Nexon SUV. It is now available in only five colour options - Foliage Green, Calgary White, Flame Red, Pure Silver and Daytona Grey. The subcompact SUV is available in 12 variants across XE, XM, XZ and XZ+ trim options. Prices of the Nexon start at Rs. 7.19 lakh, going up to Rs. 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Nexon Subcompact SUV has been one of the safest cars in the country with a 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP in 2018.
