TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Specifications Leaked Ahead of Official Launch

TVS Motor Company is starting 2016 with a bang with the launch of the Apache RTR 200 4V scheduled for January 20, simultaneously in India and Indonesia. While there are a bulk of spy shots and speculations doing the rounds, the final design and specifications have been leaked online shedding all the camouflage. TVS's flagship bike definitely looks sporty with the all-new design language inspired from the X-21 Draken concept.

Visually, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V looks extremely sporty with the lean headlamp cluster with LED daytime running lights, clip-on handlebars, split seats and a tail tidy which get reflectors. The fuel tank gets neatly scalped character lines for a macho look while the additional extension panels on either side come with faux air vents. The mid panels are finished in black along with the engine, while adding some flair to it is the engine cowl. The design also holds significance for the bike maker as the next set of updates for the Apache will feature the same styling. Completing the aesthetic setup are the wavy alloy wheels wrapped in 90/90/R17 up front and 130/70/R17 at the rear and both come from TVS Remora.

Furthermore, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has a kerb weight of 140 kg translating into an appreciable power-to-weight ratio. In fact, the leaked brochure images claim a 0-60 km/h run in just 3.9 seconds. That being said, the power figures are nowhere close to rivals in the segment that have moved beyond the 20bhp mark. Nevertheless, TVS will offer dual-channel ABS on the bike while pricing is expected to be in the vicinity of Rs. 90,000-95,000/- (ex-showroom). Complete details will be revealed on January 20.
