TVS NTorq 125: All You Need To Know

TVS recently launched the all-new NTorq 125 in India at a starting price of Rs. 58,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and well, from the looks of it, the scooter does look impressive. TVS has been testing the scooter for quite some time now and with the Jupiter holding the fort in the 110 cc category, it was about time TVS introduced a capable scooter in the 125 cc segment. The NTorq125 looks good, with a sharp design, reminiscing of the Ntorq concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, two years ago. Engine
(TVS NTorq Launched)It is the first 125 cc scooter from TVS and gets 124.8 cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 9.3 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine is of course mated to a CVT unit. The claimed fuel efficiency has not been released yet. It has been targeted at people between the age of 18-25.
Performance
The TVS NTorq 125 has a claimed top speed of 95 kmph. Also, the performance of the scooter derived from TVS' scooter racing pedigree. TVS has been racing scooters for four years now. Also, it has two riding modes, which are street and sport.
Connectivity
(TVS NTorq SmartXonnect System is Bluetooth-enabled and gets navigation assist)It is perhaps the smartest conventional scooter in India. It gets Bluetooth connectivity, a dedicated smartphone app, navigation assist and so on and so forth. All of that on a scooter!
Instrumentation
The instrumentation is fully digital and shows over 55 pieces of information such as lap timer, top speed recorder (YES! On a scooter), location park assist, phone battery indicator, trip meter, service reminder etc.
Features
(TVS NTorq features disc brake, LED taillamp, sytlish headlamp)The scooter is loaded with features such as 22 litres underseat stowage, USB charger, dual-side handle lock, pass-by switch, engine-kill switch, external fuel filler cap, daytime running lights and so on.
