TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of a new Matte Silver shade for its popular 125 cc scooter - TVS NTorq 125. The new colour has been launched to commemorate the NTorq 125 becoming the most awarded scooter in India in the 2018-19 financial year, by winning 9 automotive industry awards. The new special edition Matte Silver NTorq will also feature a special 'Scooter of the Year' insignia on the front apron to differentiate it from the regular NTroq scooters. Furthermore, the new TVS NTorq 125 Matte Silver option will be only available in the disc brake variant, which is currently priced at Rs. 59,995. The drum brake variant is priced at Rs. 58,552 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).

First launched in February 2018, the TVS NTorq 125 was the first 125 cc scooter in India to come with a connected technology called Smartxonnect, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. This, of course, is in addition to a bunch of smart features and aggressive styling. The scooter comes with features like T-shaped taillamp, 12-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, Batwing-style daytime running lamps, afterburner style rear vents, and stubby tyres. The NTorq 125 also comes with multiple modes - street, sport, and ride stats, along with a lap timer and call and SMS alerts.

TVS NTorq 125 has also crossed the 2-lakh sales milestone in India
Performance-wise, the TVS NTorq 125 is powered by a CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine, that is tuned to churns out around 9.3 bhp at 7500 rpm and develops a peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. The scooter comes with a top speed of 95 kmph, and is the most powerful offering in TVS' scooter line up. The NTorq 125 comes with telescopic front forks and gas-filled hydraulic type coil spring shock absorber at the rear. The 12-inch wheels are shod in 100x80 mm tyres up front and 110x80 mm rubber at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 220 mm disc up front and a 130 mm drum unit at the rear.
In addition to the new Matte Silver share, the TVS NTorq 125 will continue to be offered in the existing 6 colour options - Matte Yellow, Matte White, Matte Red, Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey and Metallic Red. The NTorq 125 has also crossed the 2-lakh sales milestone in India in less than 1 year of its launch.
