TVS NTorq 125 Sales Cross 1 Lakh Units

The TVS NTorq 125, the flagship scooter from TVS Motor Company has sold more than 1 lakh units since the scooter was launched in February, 2018. According to a statement from TVS, the NTorq has witnessed a lot of interest among consumers, leading to 22 lakh visits on the TVS NTorq website and consistent enquiries across TVS Motor Company's dealership network as well as social media channels. The NTorq is targeted at the younger generation, what TVS describes as Generation Z, and it certainly seems to have appealed to the target consumer group with its youthful design and unique features, along with entertaining performance. TVS has launched a new colour for the NTorq - Metallic Red, ahead of the festive season.
"The Gen Z, our intended audience, has responded with love to this new offering. They not only took the TVS NTorq 125 to their homes but gave it a pride of place across their social platforms. This kind of brand love early on is remarkable and redoubles our enthusiasm to live up to the faith of our consumers," said Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing) - Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor Company.

The NTorq is powered by a new CVTi-REVV 124.79 cc single-cylinder, three-valve engine which puts out 9.25 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The NTorq also has excellent acceleration with a top speed of 95 kmph, and a throaty exhaust note, which is quite likeable. The NTorq 125 also boasts of being India's first smart-connected scooter, with its SmartXonnect system, a Bluetooth-enabled connected technology system that can be accessed through the NTorq mobile app for Android phones.
