Volvo Plans To Double Sales Volume In India By 2023

- Volvo plans to launch more products in India in the coming years
- It will expand electric car portfolio in the country
- Volvo is also looking at bringing in the C40 Recharge to India
Volvo India today announced that it plans to double its sales volume in the country in the next 2 years. The company is looking to introduce more products into the Indian market and we'll soon see these being rolled out into India. The company has already said that it would be introducing 1 all-electric car in India every year from 2021 and is looking at 80 per cent of all its sales to come from electric cars by 2025.

The XC40 Recharge was showcased in India today and bookings will begin from June
Volvo will be introducing a number of vehicles to the Indian market and we'll see the S60 on the roads very soon as deliveries for the car are about to begin. After that the company plans to launch the all-electric XC40, the bookings for which will begin in June 2021. The deliveries for the car will be made by October 2021.

Volvo plans to launch the new XC60 in India soon
The other two cars that the company is planning to bring to the country are the S90 and the XC60 petrol. The company already launched the S60 in January this year and deliveries for the car will begin from March 18. The company is focusing on the online platform to sell its cars. It has said that the S60 and the XC40 Recharge can be booked and bought online and the request will be sent to the dealerships for the coordination with the customer.
Volvo is looking to push sales in a strong way in the Indian market given the potential it holds.
