- Riders from across India participate in GS Riders India Meet 2018
- The event was organised by the GS Riders India group
- BMW Motorrad India supported with off-road training sessions
More than 70 BMW GS owners met up near Lonavla last month in what is being described as the inaugural GS Riders India Meet 2018, organised by the GS Riders India group. The GS Riders India group was founded by Winston Lee and Dilip Dhanasingh from Chennai in 2015, and the GS Riders India Meet 2018 was organised by Lee and Captain Vikram Singh, who spent months organising the event. BMW GS riders from across India attended the two-day event on March 2-4 from cities such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru in the south to Delhi and Rajasthan in the north and even Kolkata in the east.

The two-day event also included off-road training conducted by BMW Motorrad India
"We formed this group to enable all GS riders to come together on a common platform so we can plan rides, events and activities related to the GS style of riding. We intend not only to be a riding group but also be actively involved in social causes and give back to society in some ways," said Winston Lee, Founder, GS Riders India.

Trainers from Enduro Park Thailand were flown in for the event
The two-day GS Riders India Meet was organised at Camp Deogadh, Pawana, near Lonavla and involved the participants indulging in lakeside camping in tents and enjoying activities like kayaking and swimming. The event was supported by BMW Motorrad India, which organised a two-day off-road training for all the members of the group. Expert trainers were flown in from Enduro Park Thailand, to share their riding skills, and give tips and training to members of GS Riders India.

The two-day event involved training in off-road riding and improving off-road riding skills
Mumbai-based Winston Lee is one of the finalists who have been chosen to represent India at the BMW Motorrad organised International GS Trophy 2018 in Mongolia. Lee was one of the three rider team which will form part of BMW Motorrad Team India at the International GS Trophy in June 2018. The three member team was chosen from among 40 different contestants and GS owners over a three-day event in October 2017. The team has been involved in training for the big event in June 2018 in Mongolia.
