Mahindra KUV100 Facelift Launch Date Announced

- Mahindra KUV100 will be launched on October 10
- The KUV100 will receive changes to the exterior and interior
- We expect it to be called the KUV100 NXT
It was 2016, when Mahindra first ventured into a segment which it was never part of with the KUV100. While the company maintained that the car was a compact SUV, the audience still saw it as a hatchback hose design inspiration was from an SUV. Close to two years later there’s a facelift coming our way and Mahindra has announced that the car will be launched on October 10.

While the design of the car remains almost unchanged there are some changes which are distinct and noticeable to the exterior. The car gets an updated front bumper, a new mesh and there's a bit more plastic cladding around the fog lamps. The bumper has been tweaked too and this gives the car a fresh look making it a bit more contemporary. A faux skid plate finished in brushed aluminium is also seen at the front and rear. At the rear, the KUV100 NXT gets new clear lens taillights with chrome bezels inside, and a revised bumper along the lines of the front unit. The wiper also sports a different design than before.

The Mahindra KUV100 now gets revised headlamps while the grille takes inspiration from the updated Mahindra XUV500. It looks a bit larger too and reports suggest that the KUV has seen a slight increase in its length and now measures 3700 mm, as opposed to 3675 mm. Lastly, there are a new gloss black and chrome finished 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels on the NXT.

The KUV100 was first launched in January 2016
Inside, the Mahindra KUV100 continues to be a six-seater and that hasn't changed, though we'd hope it did from a safety stand point. The top-end models finished with an all-black interior and brushed silver inserts for the premium touch. The lower trims will get grey interiors instead. While the overall layout still remains the same, Mahindra has now added a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the top-end KUV100 K8 trim. The unit offers audio and navigation support. Sadly though, Android Auto has been not been included for now.

That said, we do know, the connectivity feature will make it to the model in a year. Other features remain the same including auto climate control, steering wheel mounted control, height adjustable driver's seat and much more. Additionally, Mahindra is expected to offer dual airbags as standard on the KUV100 NXT, reducing the variant count on the model.
There'll be no changes in the specifications of the car and the KUV100 will come powered with a petrol and diesel engine. However, we do hope that with the facelift, Mahindra also announces an AMT model on the KUV100, though it looks like a long shot
