Maruti Ciaz Gets A New Variant in India

Maruti Suzuki that had launched its mid-sized sedan, the Ciaz, in October 2014, has now rolled out the new top-end trim of the car Z+. The Z+ is available in both petrol (ZXi+) and diesel (ZDi+) versions, priced at Rs 9.08 lakh and Rs 10.37 lakh respectively.

Along with features offered in the Z trim, the Z+ trim additionally gets a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with navigation and voice command, leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats etc.

Since it's just the new top-end trim, it continues to be offered with the existing engine options - a 1.4-litre petrol engine (98bhp and 130Nm) and a 1.3-litre diesel engine (88.5bhp and 200Nm).

Since Honda City's top-end diesel variant costs around Rs 11.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Ciaz's top-of-the-line diesel at Rs 10.37 lakh, is about Rs 1.23 lakh cheaper than the former. Whereas, the petrol top-end model of Ciaz is about Rs 2 lakh cheaper than that of the City's top-end petrol model.
