Nepal Earthquake: Mahindra Offers its Vehicles for Rehabilitation Work

    During this hour of crisis, Mahindra & Mahindra, the home-grown auto major, has announced support for the victims of Nepal earthquake. The company has offered its tractors and pick-up vehicles to the Government of Nepal, through its local distributor, for the use of rehabilitation work of restoring normalcy. Moreover, the Indian automaker will also provide the same assistance to the affected areas in India as well.

    Anand Mahindra, Chairman & Managing Director, Mahindra Group said, "At Mahindra our heart goes out to the victims of this unfortunate tragedy. The pain of Nepal is felt by each member of the Mahindra family. We do hope and pray that our humble support helps the earthquake victims in Nepal and in the affected parts of India to get back to normalcy at the earliest".

    Nepal saw its worst earthquake in 80 years on Saturday and aftershocks on Sunday. This natural calamity has taken over 3,330 lives, and the death toll is likely to rise. The mountainous nation's capital, Kathmandu, was the worst-affected area, where several century old buildings and monuments were reduced to dust. The Indian government has extended its support to help Nepal and sent the armed forces' troops to restore normalcy in the country.
