Tata Nano GenX Revealed; Bookings Commence
The company took to Facebook to unveil the car which will make life easier for those wanting a small car with automatic transmission. Currently, Maruti Suzuki is the only company to offer a small car with an AMT - the Alto K10. There are a whole bunch of colours on offer for the Nano GenX. Customers can choose from Damson Purple, Sangria Red, Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, Pearl White, Meteor Silver and Persian Rose.
There are no changes to the engine and the Nano GenX will be powered by the same 624cc, 2-cylinder petrol powertrain which will be mated to an AMT. The AMT is tuned for better fuel efficiency too and we can expect a fuel efficiency figure of more than 20km/l. The current Nano Twist with manual transmission delivers 25km/l.
There are a whole bunch of changes to the exterior of the car as it gets a smiley air dam and a new front bumper. There will also be smoked head lamps and new alloy wheels. Mind you, there is another change that's the most noticeable and that is the openable boot lid. The luggage space on offer will be 110 litres, which is quite good.
The company has plans to launch the car next month, so we'll keep you posted on the details.
